New Google referral ads go to Beta

This could be the most important news of the year if you are an AdSense Publisher. Google is introducing in beta test on the US market, a new type of ad. Pay per action and pay per sale could soon become part of the Google options. Advertisers within the Adwords program will be able to bid for an action, and not only for a click! This is a big difference, and could mean that you won't have to fear paying for useless clicks.

In addition it will lower the "click fraud" syndrome which can be a real pain with Adwords. An example of an action could be a lead i.e. you will pay when the visitor has completed the form, thus becoming a "real" prospect that you will be able to follow-up with. Your bid is now giving you the life time value of this lead...instead of the nanosecond value of the visitor's click. It could be a sale i.e. a disguised affiliate program. But imagine, the profits it could lead (especially in non IM related niches).

You will offer $5 or $10 for each sale generated. This could help you find publishers for your program. For the Advertiser, Google has now added a new type of Text Link Ad. It will be a few words of text that will be in line with your own content. It will be transparent, and your visitors will not be able to know it exists, until they click on the ad.

If the visitor completes the action (lead, sale), you will be paid for this. It's kind of what some scripts do by embedding clickbank products inside your content...the main difference is that, it will be much more relevant than most of the non related clickbank products. I will be following this with a lot of interest and can't wait till out of beta to the general public.
