Miniature and scale modeling - fun for everyone

Do you remember when you were a kid and you received your first model? It came in a box, full of tiny little plastic pieces that captured you imagination right from the start. I can still remember removing every piece from a model frame before I ever read the instructions and I had one heck of a time putting it together from trying to identify all the numbered pieces that were no longer numbered since I had removed them! Always read the directions for your model before you start, it could be crucial to your success in building it.

Miniature and scale models come in all shapes and sizes from the most common "real reproductions like model cars,
model ships, motorcycles, model space craft, and model trains. Then you have all the latest in model space ships from your favorite movie, or character models from the same. Most models are made form plastic now days, but in the early days of models, die cast and aluminum were, also used. The models of today have become quite sophisticated too and the detail is tremendous.

My one son still has a couple
model ships that he made when he was just a kid and they can provide a lifetime of conversation and memory if well taken care of. Spend some time today with a friend, a child, or maybe just do another one yourself, and you'll see how much fun it still is to build a model. You can find some great models to choose from at Movable Models.
